SensingTex

I have a price of square textile fabric from SparkFun that has fiber optic likes running parallel. At one end of the fabric all the fiber optic lines are crimped into a copper sleeve. What power source do I need to make this safely work? I have some lily pad wire but I am new to experiment with electronics so I do not know what to do.

This is completely different topic. My other interest was in smart glass. The tint of the glass can be changed to let more or less light through. There is company called Research Frontiers that makes the technology. It’s called SPD smart glass I believe. Is anyone here interested in this technology ?

That fabric is not an electrical device; it is purely optical. You will need to shine light into the crimped end of the fibers.
