Sensor for gas and break pedals.

I have a project where I am turning a car into a video game controller. I am not going to be able to use the OBDII port of the car. I was wondering if you happen to have some sort of sensor I could put under the break and gas pedal to determine how much they were pressed.

Sounds like a fun project. If possible, try to sense in the motor compartment, not in the cabin.

Just check out Sparkfun’s distance sensor category. In addition you could consider rotary encoders, and Hall sensor (plus magnet).
