Will Grove Serial Can Bus work with Qwiic sensors? Is this there enough band width for both?
If you’re asking if you can plug a Grove device into a Qwiic bus, the answer is yes.
Grove and Qwiic are both just I2C so you should be able to use a Grove device on a Qwiic bus as long as you connect the pins to the right places. We actually carry an [adapter cable just for this.
I’m not familiar with the particular board you’re asking about but an internet search turned up [this board. If that’s what you’re using, it appears that the board uses UART or TTL serial and not I2C to communicate so it won’t work on a Qwiic bus. Even though there is a ‘Grove’ connector on the board, it’s not really I2C.](SERIAL CAN BUS MODULE - Longan Docs)](Qwiic Cable - Grove Adapter (100mm) - PRT-15109 - SparkFun Electronics)
Is there a tutorial that would apply similar concepts on how to hookup the Grove CAN board you linked to, to the Sparkfun Blackboard C? This would work better for me as I would like to dedicate the Qwiic bus to a distance sensor.
I’m sorry, but I don’t have any information about the Grove CAN board. You might contact the manufacturer of that board for assistance.
