Hello everyone,
I just received my serial LCD, and cannot get it to accept any input. The startup screen displays just fine, but after that a few of the character spaces are filled in and any input after that does nothing.
I tried the code from the arduino playground (http://www.arduino.cc/playground/Learni … kFunSerLCD) with no luck. I haven’t modified anything, so it should be just as I got it.
thanks, Justin
Ok, well I used my continuity meter to test if the RX terminal screw connects to anything else on the board, and it doesn’t connect to any of the PIC pins, or any of the other components for that matter. It does connect to a via that’s mostly under the PIC (sicks out the bottom a tiny bit) but thats it.
I don’t know if this is correct or not, but from what I can tell, the data coming into the RX pin never goes anywhere on the board.
