Setting Pad number in Eagle.....

Hi All,

I’m having a hard time finding where the ‘Pad number’ is set in Eagle? I can set the pin name when creating a Symbol, but when I place the part on the schematic I see ‘P$1’, and ‘P$2’ for the pin numbers instead of ‘1’ and ‘2’. Where does this get set, and how do I do it?

The pad name is set in the Package.

  • - Open the part's library

    • Edit your device’s package

    • Use ‘name’ command. Type command ‘help name’ for usage.

    • Save library (no need to close it)

    • Open either schematic or board with device added

    • Click menu ‘Library’ then choose ‘Update all’
