setting up heating circuit with timer

Hi,

I would like to create a heated vest with built in timer for a project I’m working on.

I would need your assistance or recommendations on which components to buy . I have a few questions if you can help me out, as I have no experience with electronic systems:

  • Is it possible to have a built-in timer, so heating would be scheduled when to start and for how long to last? (if yes, is there a tutorial/ sketch for how to install the timer in the circuit?)

  • Are all the components washable or do they need to be removed for washing?

  • Would you be kind to recommend to me a list of products to build this heating system with a timer?

We don’t have a timer for you unfortunately, you’d need to buy that somewhere else or build one on your own.

For heating, we carry two different 5 volt heating pads that might work for your application, you can find those in the links below. Both can be washed, but it’s probably not great for them to be in water for long periods of time.
