I noticed that the CAM processor did not automatically include the board dimension layer, resulting in an incorrect board size being processed. I caught this only after the bot sent me the e-mail. It isn’t a problem, I just re-ran it with the dimension layer checked in the top and bottom sides and that fixed it, but this seems like a glaring oversight.
It all depends on what layers you use just for your reference in the layout editor and which ones you actually want printed on the pcb and how. Some people may use the dimension layer just for their reference and don’t want it printed on their pcb. Some others may want that particular layer printed in copper instead of silk screen. I use the .cam files as a starting point only. You need to go through each tab of the .cam processor and select the layers that you want printed for that particular processing step. You can then save that particular job so that you can use those settings next time.
