Shopping Cart Quirk

I found that if I add a PCB design to my shopping cart and then delete it, it will not be removed from the shopping cart. I don’t think it’s browser related, but I’m using Chrome on Windows 7.

Under certain circumstances this can cause some confusion. In my case, I found a mistake in a design. I deleted it, made some changes and re-uploaded to DRC, using the same name. While it was being scanned I uploaded a few other designs and added some to my cart.

When it was time to order I didn’t realize that the old board had never been removed from the cart! Board names and quantities looked good in the cart, boards were all the correct revision from the PCB Designs page. So unfortunately the “deleted” PCB was fabricated.

support@batchpcb.com did refund me for the affected boards (thanks!) but also said they felt the problem was user error. While I’m okay taking some of the blame, I don’t see any reason to keep deleted designs in the shopping cart.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Upload design to DRC.

  2. Add passed design to shopping cart.

  3. Delete design.

  4. See that the design remains in the shopping cart.
