Sifive Freedom Studio 2020: Connecting to J-Link failed.

So from your “RED-V Development Guide” page link, I downloaded & installed the Freedom Studio.

Sifive now sends a 2020 version. This version does not supply a “dpinst_x64.exe” for x64. They do supply “instDrivers.exe”, … which fails to open.

Consequently, the “hello” program compiles fine, but fails to install because “Connecting to J-Link failed”.

Please help!

I recently downloaded and installed Freedom Studio 2020.11 and it works, though at one point you’re asked which debugger interfaces to install, and I first selected J-Link only, and that did not work at launch time. I re-did the installation, selecting the default of all three interfaces, and have no problem with the RED-V (Windows 10 Pro amd64)
