Signalizer JTAG Tool?

Greetings Folks:

I am considering the purchase of a Signalizer for JTAG debugging and flash programming as an upgrade replacement for my legacy parallel port wiggler clone. I have the following questions:

  1. I wonder if anyone here would comment on how they like their Signalizer? I would like to know if it is a solid product or if I would be better off considering the Olimex ARM-USB-OCD.

  2. Can the Signalizer under the current distribution of OpenOCD be used to program flash via the JTAG port or must one still use the serial port and Philips Flash Utility to program flash.

As far as the JTAG functionality is cocerned, all the FT2232 based dongles are the same (JTAGkey, ARM-USB-OCD, Signalyzer, …). There are differences in the supported voltage ranges, reset-signal configuration etc., but those issues hardly matter when working with common ARM7 uCs.

They all can be used to program the internal flash of LPC2000 devices.
