SMU + Power Analyzer

While building low-power devices we developed an SMU/power analyzer that has been very useful to us. I’d like to run it by the SparkFun community to get advice and thoughts on it — details, pictures and screenshots at http://www.oscarmu.co.

  • What are your thoughts and comments?

  • What modifications would you like to see?

  • Is this something you could use?

  • Would you guys like to see this on Sparkfun’s store?

Important features are:

  • Easy configuration

  • Voltage range: 1.2 to 5 V

  • Current range: 25 microamps to 0.8 amps

  • High sampling rate: 6.5 ksps

  • Python API

  • Platform independent browser UI

  • Navigator feature allows pan and zoom across time and amplitude

Why would I need to request a quote?

Why not just put the price on the webpage?

I always walk away from this type of offering since I can’t tell what the price is and I don’t want to hassle with requesting a quote …

Hi DanV - You are right about that. I am changing it . Right now, we are really trying to understand people’s use cases and looking for feedback and real scenarios. This tool worked very well for us as is. We want to make sure that the tool meets the needs of others. Hoping to get some of that feedback from the SparkFun community.

DanV - Thanks again!
