Can the contacts that reach the soil be soldered onto? I would like to run some remote contacts to this sensor, but wondering if there are separate provisions or I can solder to the contacts to do this? Thanks!
No (well…theory they can, but probably not easily/in the way you’re envisioning…you’d be changing the resistive strip’s length, and also its circuit…both of which will affect readings)
