Solid State Relay?

Hi there,

Can somebody suggest a good solid state relay for interfacing with AVR MCUs?

The relay is to interface with AVR so its input should be 3-5 V

The relay is going to be used for activating DC devices of 24 V.

Any suggestion?

Why? Does an SSR have an advantage over a

power semiconductor such as a PMOSFet?

Does the load circuit require isolation from

the AVR side?

What is the load current?

What is the allowed voltage drop in the SSR?

Typically SSRs are used for AC load control and

have Triac or SCR structures. Both are lossy

for low voltage operation. Also, SSRs latch unless

the power source is AC (or can be removed to

reset the latching SSR).
