[solved] Pro Micro-5V/16MHz - ATMega32U4 -> Driver() problem

I have the Pro Micro - 5V/16MHz with ATMega32U4.

I am trying to upload a Sketch.

I always get “avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00”

What Tools>Board should I choose ?

“Arduino Pro or Pro mini (5V, 16 MHz) w/ ATmega328” doesn’t not seem to be the correct one…

I choose LyliPad Adruino USB as board.

I successfully uploaded the “Blink” sketch.

Win 7 detected the board as a new device (drivers were already installed).

Now it is just showing a “unknown Device” and I am not able to re-instal the SparkFun ProMicro.inf drivers.

It keep saying that the driver are not compatible…

Looks like it was not a good idea to choose LyliPad as the board…

Rebooting or using libusb-win32-bin-1.2.6.0 doesn’t help.

There is an add-on to Arduino for the Pro Micro. The link to the add-on is on the Sparkfun product page. Once you install the add-on you can select “SparkFun Pro Micro 5v/16MHz” from the board menu. Instructions are on the “Getting Started Tutorial” also linked from the product page.

Good luck!

So I bought a new Pro Micro and did a fresh windows install.

I plugged the new board, installed the driver, selected “Pro Micro 5v/16Mhz”, uploaded a sketch, I got an error…

avrdude: ser_send(): write error: sorry no info avail

I tried plugin in my previous board, it appeared as "vmware device' ? ?, I installed the driver, but I got the same error as previously mentioned.

I plugged the new board again. It showed up like this : http://uppix.net/3/d/c/356d8b921c687b0b … 57b506.jpg

I installed the same driver again and I got a big fat old blue screen…

Problem fixed.

I unplugged it and plugged it again. Waited a few second and the board appears on COM5 without any problem.

Upload of sketch was successful
