Sparket Facet flashing logo

Hey guys,

I’ve recently had one of our Facet units start acting strangely. It seems to get caught in some sort of incomplete restart loop where it will continually flash the sparkfun logo every few seconds, but never actually start. I don’t know when it started happening exactly or what caused it (as it was located at another office).

If the unit is off and charging, it will loop/flash this logo - none of my other units (same firmware) do this. It generally stops if I disconnect the USB, however on a few occasions it has continued flashing - and subsequently complete drained the battery.

Any ideas on what could be wrong or how I can rectify this?

Obviously that should read Sparkfun Facet…

The firmware will show the logo any time a button press is detected. If a button press is no longer detected, the unit will turn back off. It sounds like something is causing the system to think the button is being pressed. I suspect there is something with your unit’s power button that may be malfunctioning.
