Sparkfun support (some guy named “Lex” with aparently no family name)
said I was supposed to ask this question here
instead of asking the Sparkfun user support email address.
Not sure if anyone here CAN answer a question regarding
the product roadmap of SparkFun Electronics Inc. .
Is there or will there ever be a L6482 based version of the great Sparkfun AutoDriver?
(external instead of internal mosfests)
The board is great for controlling a chain of steppers but it is very
limited by vMax=45V and 3A. So no 48V >3A steppers for DIY CNC and
robotics where tiny 3A seppers just aren’t enough.
Hi wolschon, and thanks for posting!

There is not currently and I'm not aware of plans for a L6482 based board but we will forward this to our engineers for consideration.
Hello,
These support forums are a community platform for our community of engineers and hobbyists, engineers, and support staff can communicate publicly for the benefit of everyone involved. This is absolutely the right place for this question.
Regarding your product suggestion, currently I’m not aware of any upcoming products featuring your mentioned chip. We appreciate your feedback and I will pass the suggest along to our internal teams.
Thank you and I hope you have a great day.
