sparkfun GPS Dead Reckoning ZED-F9R give the wrong coordinates

Hello

For my project at school, I use the U-Blox GPS ZED-F9R with a raspberry pi 4 and an external Bluetooth device so I can use RTK. On the GPS module is also an external antenna connect (the U-Blox ANN-MB).

In my program, I request the coordinates of the GPS module. But it gives me the wrong coordinates. It gives me (17,…;12,…) instead of (51,…;2,…). Another strange thing is that U-center says that the coordinates are (0,0).

If I take a look at U-center, the GPS is connected with several satellites. But after several minutes/seconds, a satellite is gone

Some now how I can solve this problem?

Hopefully, it can be solved without buying a new GPS or antenna.

Thanks!!

Are you in a building? You’re not getting a GPS fix.

Try taking the antenna and GPS outdoors and see if you get more satellites and a 3D fix.

Now the gps has the correct coordinates again. but it takes him a very long time to give it. it first starts with coordinates 0.0, then coordinates that are not correct and only then the correct one. He also SOMETIMES has the right one but keeps passing the same coordinates all the time while I am walking around. Anyone know if this is normal or how to fix it :?:

Normal if you are in a building. The fix is to go outside, where you have a clear view of the sky.

I test it outside. He will give me the correct coordinates. But after a long time. Sometimes 10a20 min. I think that is not normal. So after this time the system works.

Probebly it’s the bluetooth module (The RTK) that give a problem. I will test it without RTK.
