SparkFun Optical Tracking Odometry - OTOS - IMU stopped communicating after an hour of use

SparkFun Optical Tracking Odometry - SKU: SEN-24904

FTC 14683 - OTOS was implemented using a Rev Robotics Control hub via the I2C bus. It worked correctly for approximately for 1 hour, and then we received an error message that the IMU was no longer available. The red LED power light and laser still power up. We looked on line and read the forums and tried to cut the pull up resistors as suggested, but that did not make any difference. We hen connected the OTOS unit to an Arduino and were able to see the laser feedback, both X & Y, but it would not see the IMU. It appears our IMU is bad on the board.

We would like to get an RMA so we can ship it back, have you inspect it and ultimately replace it.

Please let us know if there are any additional tests you need us to perform.

The only other thing I can think to check is the qwiic connector for any bent pins

If none found: Was it purchased from us? If so head over to Return Policy - SparkFun Electronics (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away

Pins are all fine. We have purchased this from SparkFun. I have already filled out a return request.
I am waiting for an RMA number and label so I can send it back.
