Is there any other pads that work as i2c? I tried the solder the qwiic port back on but failed with trace disappearing. I need i2c pins. Is there something on the rf95w that I can solder to for getting i2c? I2c has never been easier … that is … until the qwiic port breaks off! ;'(
That board only has i2c broken-out to the qwiic port :-/
If you’re good at soldering/modifications you could try tapping into the traces directly
Otherwise you’re probably best ordering a replacement
yeah, tried that but then pealed up the second trace from bottom so i gave up. I had 4 boards of the 9 die today. One immediately gave up the magic blue smoke. I think it came from the 3 pin device on the bottom (is that v regulator - not sure). One the antenna port broke off. ugg. The other two that died, they initially connected to the computer. I sent the program to it from the arduino ide and then they went unresponsive. The others all appear to have taken the program. They seem to acknowledge the lora, and they seem to acknowledge one i2c device, but the second sort of sometimes and sometimes not. I’m a little unsure if they are ok also. I’ve not had similar troubles with esp32, nano, or pico boards so it’s a little disheartening. I’m not sure, if it’s me, what I’m doing wrong? I looked over my soldering but I don’t see any bridged pins, that sort of thing. Also, most of the boards (i think the 9th oddball one i bought on ebay) have an io and clk pin beside the qwiic port, would that be an additional scl and sda i2c connection?
I’ve bought 8 more hoping that i only need to replace the 4 that died. I could cry right now.
