I am a complete newbie to this and would like some help in complete lay terms. I am using the rtk express surveying kit with SW Maps, and connecting to a corrections database to retrieve accuracy to 14mm. There is no issue with the lat and long being retrieved however the elevation data is the problem. I am getting an elipsoid height which is not what I need. I need the elevation to be above sea level. having tried out on a point where I know the elevation should be 23.5m above sea level whereas the data displayed in sw maps shows elipsoid height of 83.2 meters.
Can someone help me undertsand how to get the correct elevation above sea level? In case it makes any difference I am based in Northern Ireland, and again please try to keep explanations as simple as possible as I am completely new to this. I appreciate all help! thanks
