I’ve been using the OpenScale on and off for a couple of years now. I finally decided to create an enclosure for it and have captured that in Github. Sharing it here in case it is useful to someone.
The enclosure was designed in Atom3D. It was printed on Atomic PLA using Prusa Mini printer. You can find more information about the enclosure itself on Prusa’s [Printables.](Printables)
Neat-o.
How far have you taken the readability?
5 kg is probably more than enough to flex the lower housing between the feet but maybe not so much that it shows up in the weight measurements.
That is a great question. I can’t say anything above 1Kg with any certainty. I currently have this setup for weighting 3d print filaments leftovers. I have gone up to 1kG (slightly above); the measurements appear to be within 1g.
I do have 250g worth of weight standards. Those still track within 1g.
