My fab house proposes a stop mask bar of at least 0.1mm (0.004inches). At the sparkfuns lib of the LPCC16 package (which i want to use for the HMC5883) the pads have a distance of about 0.003inches to the stop mask and the stop mask bar between the pads is just 0.003inches.
Should i reduce the distance of the pads to the stop mask to 0.0025 (or 0.002inches) to increase the stop mask bar?

What would u do?
Thanks for reading this post and for advice!

Does your PCB fab quote their soldermask registration? When you tighten up the gap between the pad and the soldermask you run the risk of having soldermask sitting on your pads, blocking off some of it.

I did not read anything about soldermask registration. I will call them.
