Do all the tracks on your card do the same thing?
If so, can you try a different brand/type SD card and see if that helps?
Yes, i tried with 2 diffrent cards. One is a Sandisk 16gb class 10 and the other is an unknow brand 4gb class 4. Both the same problem. Both cards are formatted as FAT32.
The problem is with all the songs on the SD card

You might try a third, different card just to see but it may be a bad board.
PM me your SparkFun order or invoice number so I can have a deeper look at this.
The MP3 trigger plays the sound more slowly then it should. I think that is the reason that it sounds different.
