Stuffing U-Blox GPS module into limited board space

I need to place a U-Blox LEA-5A GPS module([link) into limited space.

I’m using a 100 mill microstrip to the SMA connector due to lack of space. Is this workable due to the short distance of the trace? I will be using an

active antenna.

Any comments/tips appreciated.

Right… I’m worried about the “about 50 ohms” part. I’ve seen 111 mil to

about 135 mil used for the microstrip. Is being off 11% going to cause

problems?

I’ve used it without any problems. It would be better to use the correct width, of course.

Thanks Leon. I would prefer to make it the right size, just don’t have the

room. I hope it does not affect reception too much.
