It’s a little on the pricey side, but Surveyor Corporation’s [SRV1 Blackfin Camera is incredibly powerful, and pretty easy to program by modifying the supplied GPL firmware. The optional Matchport wifi board is very useful too, allowing streaming video and data from your application program to any networked PC.
I think Sparkfun would do well to resell these boards.
