Any chance you guys could carry the [Telicontrolli ceramic hybrid rain sensor that Olimex.cl sells?
This is a very attractive part. It’s ceramic with a very resistant surface coating, AND it has the heater and sensing thermistor integrated on the back of the substrate - much better than the commonly available circuit board based parts. I would also like to see these being carried here. I have been trying to build my own sensor, but I couldn’t find a good way to implement the heater part. Then I saw these being used in a cloud/rain/solar sensor product and knew I had to try them out. Problem is that it’s almost impossible to find anybody who sells them (except for the link mention in the OP’s message). I made an inquiry directly to Telicontrolli, but it wasn’t worth it for low quantities because of the cost of shipping and wiring them payment. The quote that was given for qtys of 100s was about $2.85 Euros, which is cheap! Here is the link to the sensor description and datasheet.

Hopefully somebody at SF is reading this and considers carry them. I am sure they are more than a few hobbyist that would like to play with these.
