Hi,

It could be technically possible if you have a 1-1 coupler and cable. Unfortunately, we don’t have that kind of product available at this time.
If you can find a cable, yes but unfortunately we don’t carry an extension. It would be far easier to keep the board close to the display and run your interface wires too it.
Thank you very much for your replies. Unfortunately, my project requires me to place the screen in a very, very tight space so I need to move it from the board. Since you don’t carry the necessary cable, would it be possible for you to point me in the direction of the kind of cable I need to purchase? I am rather new to the world of microcontrollers and screens.
Cheers!
Something like [this would probably work, the issue is that there’s no way to join that with the existing cable on the display. The big issue is that these cables have male ends on both ends of the cable, they don’t have a male end on one side and a female end on the other.
You’d need to make an adapter board and mount two flat flex connectors [like these on it so that you can join the LCD’s cable with the end of the extension. This would involve designing a circuit board and soldering the connectors too it for that to work. If you had the right tools and experience, you might be able to solder a connector directly to the end of the cable but since the cables are plastic, you could also melt the cable in the process. I’m afraid there’s not an easy way to do this.](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15095)](https://www.molex.com/molex/products/part-detail/cable/0150200431)
Thank you so much for taking the time to give a detailed answer. It sounds like re-designing my project is a better solution.
