Is there a way to program the board without the need to press the “O” button during programming?
I’m using an M1 Pro Macbook Pro/Arduino 1.8.19 and performed a clean install of the board definitions for the ESP32-S2 along with the SiLabs CP2104 Driver.
I have the same problem. The board programs correctly with a Windows Surface Pro without pressing the button. On the Macbook I have to hold in the button to get it to program. Some help would be appreciated. Any suggestions?
I program with a Raspberry Pi 4B8 and have many different boards from several sources. Some with no buttons, some with one button and some with 2 buttons.
Try holding the 0 or boot button while doing a reset. The monitor should give a message that the board is waiting for an upload.
On my boards without boot buttons I jumper IO0 to gnd which is what the button does, just don’t forget to remove the jumper after loading as it prevents the system from starting.
