So I’m experimenting with my Thing Plus Xbee3, and it looks to me (based on the schematic) that grounding the EN pin should shut down the 3.3V Regulator. However, nothing happens and the power stays on. Is there something that I am missing?
Thanks, Paul
Grounding EN will shut down the 3.3 volt regulator, but if you have USB plugged in, the USB to serial chip can leak current through it’s I/O lines into the XBee allowing the board to be partially powered. If you’re on battery only, grounding EN should shut everything down.
Yes, I was using the USB Port. That explains it.
Thank you.
