TOP106/RTK Surveyor not receiving any satellites

Good morning.

My TOP 106 is not receiving any satellites this morning. Antenna has clear skies.

All was working fine yesterday.

The cable is intact and pairing is working. I am using MicroSurvey FieldGenius.

I can see the satellite list when the receiver is paired , but 0 satellites are being received.

No PPS light blinking after the startup blink.

With the antenna attached, and with a clear view of the sky, the PPS LED does not blink.

I have a video of the receiver starting up I can send you if it will help.

Please advise.

Thank you.

What about battery charge? Did you check it?

Battery is fully charged.

Please do share a link to the video

Are any of the fitting/connections wiggling/loose per chance? It might be worth testing for continuity on the cables

Thanks. The cable has continuity. Did check that already.

The connectors are also tightening well

I do not have a link to share. I can email it or upload it to a location you provide

I sent an email with the video attachment to support@sparkfun.com yesterday. Susan over there should be able to get it to you.

Beyond continuity you could try measuring the DC voltage present at the antenna end of the cable. Should see around 3.3v

Hmmm. Using center pin and outer ring shows 0 v with cable connected to powered on receiver .

I checked resistance again: now it seems nothing on center pin but we do have continuity on outer ring. And no continuity between center pin and outer ring.

Ensure the receiver is outputting…if it is, then it’s a bad cable

Thanks. How do i check if the receiver is outputting ?

I see the satellite calendar in fieldgenius when the antenna is connected, and nothing when the antenna is not connected. I thus assume there to be some communication between the receiver and the antenna.

the video i sent shows what i am seeing.

You’d test for voltage from its center vs outer at the SMA connector

Right-o, I’ll ask for a copy of the video…it might be easier to post a link to a google drive or similar so other folks can see/advise as well

Closing this. A new cable fixed the issue.
