TxxTiT prototype needs a I2C / SPI keyboard

Hello Guys,

My name is Radu Popescu and I am the semifinalist of the last summer Deutsche Telekom Innovation Contest (with just a Power-Point presentation - I would like to believe that the jury liked the fresh concept /idea).

If you are wondering why I didn’t get through the final - the answer is that I did not had a prototype.

But now, after over a year, the second working prototype is almost ready and in this summer or autumn, I would like to start crowdfunding on Kickstarter. One single issue lies ahead and this is the lack of a miniature compact QWERTY keyboard (like the one found in Blackberry). Knowing that you manufacture keyboards, I would like to kindly ask for your help regarding a 60mm x 30mm keyboard with SPI or I2C interface to communicate with the mainboard of the device.

I do not have any preferences regarding the technology used in keyboard - could be switch membrane, capacitive touch or something mechanical with a PCB. For this phase I just need a sample or two in order to fit into the overall design and to demonstrate the device fully functionality.

An important mention is that the part of the TxxTiT project is an initiative to help people with low income within the developing countries, persons with disabilities, senior citizens to have access to basic communication with the world, as well as children to have quick communication with their parents.

Any help, any advice, recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Regards,

Radu

LCD touchscreen with keyboard software…??

Just Google “blackberry keyboard”.

I saw several for $6.95 with volume pricing available.

I think I’ll add a signature “Doesn’t anyone use Google anymore?”
