I recently ordered x10 UBLX GPS-RTK-SMA-ZED-F9P and the shipment included four of the boards we are used to receiving and six boards that appear to have an updated U-blox module. The updated boards are incompatible with our current drivers. They have the same part # (GPS-16481) but the updated boards came in a squareish bag while the previous boards came in a smaller rectangular bag. Until we are able to do the work to update our drivers, is it possible that we are able to purchase a quantity of the older boards?
Hi notarex - Sorry for the confusion. We are upgrading our breakout boards to the ZED-F9P-05B module that has the latest HPG firmware on the ZED-F9P. You can certainly downgrade the firmware to whatever version is compatible with your driver.
For your reference, we keep a repo here of all the ZED-F9P firmware we’ve seen over the years. You can use u-center to load the firmware of your choice. We also have a python based GUI here if it helps.
I’d be interested to know what drivers/configuration you’re using.
The different HPG firmware versions should behave in materially the same way.
New ones perhaps having increasingly slower top-end quoted performance, but should be good to around 5 Hz and all constellations.
