ubuntu.jaunty+arm-usb-ocd: sudo required?

I recently upgraded Ubuntu from Intrepid (8.10) to Jaunty (9.04). I thought openocd had simply stopped working, but I just discovered that it still works if sudo is used.

lsusb -v also gives me some permission errors unless run with sudo.

This is particularly aggravating to me because I’m trying to migrate all my documents from the local drive to a drive connected to an NSLU2 “slug” on the network. I’ve not figured out how to mount this thing at boot, so I’ve been manually clicking on its “bookmark” before using it. Not suprising that this drive isn’t visible to su processes. (I tried going through /home/myname/.gvfs/drivename/path/to/file, but that didn’t work.)

Anyone else using openocd with Jaunty? Any workarounds for sudo?

Hi

There seem to be a issue with udev.

I have not had time to try to solve it as of now…

but I’m sure something in this google search can help you.
