It is impossible to sign up if you select American English when registering for an account on the SparkFun Forums.
I’m reading your post now, so it looks like you were able to create an account. If you continue to have issues, let us know and we will look into it for you.

He’s right, there is a problem with the forum setup. When you go to the signup page, you first see this:
After you click through that, you see this:
If you select American English on that page, you are immediately kicked back to the first screen again. It’s not preventing anyone from signing up (if it’s left on British English), but it’s not working properly.

OK, I see what you’re talking about.
I’ll report this to our IT folks to have a look at, but in the meantime, keeping British English is OK. The system will continue to process American English just fine even though British is selected.
