Unstable RTK fixed

Dear spartkfun team,

I have these two modules:

Rover: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16481

I have followed this tutorial to configure them: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/se … rtk-system

In the picture I show you a provisional setup where I get RTK Fixed but it varies a lot and very fast between RTK Fixed, RTK Float, DGNSS and sometimes it goes back to 3D. It does not stay constant in RTK Fixed.

The next setup I did was to change the rover antenna and put it on a tripod to put it higher. I get the same results.

The signal is good.

Why does it vary so much, is it normal?

Any solution to get more stable RTK Fixed?

The 2 main things I would check are to ensure that the grounding plate is connected/functional and enabling the error-correction/RTCM modes mentioned in the hookup guide you linked https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/gp … …and/or starting all the way over at the top, and beginning the process anew with default settings (a pin, but sometimes the fastest path forward)

Always be sure to have a clear line-of-sight to the sky as well!
