Hi,

I am looking to find an alternative to:

Would the FTDI Basic Break Out Board be a suitable replacement?

I cannot find the original device nearby, and shipping + import tax is just as expensive as the device, so this would be a far cheaper and faster solution as it is in stock locally.

We don’t have an exact match to the cable in your document but [BOB-09822 would be the closest thing we carry.
