USB Micro B part help

Library: SparkFun-Connectors.lbr,

Device: USB_MICRO-B_SMT

Footprint: USB-MICROB

According to layer 95 layer, “Names”, there exist 6 pins.

VBUS, D-, D+, ID, GND, and MT1*4.

Can someone please explain what MT1*4 means and how it should be used in a hobbyist design.

Part 2:

How would I know what real world physical part would be associated/compatible with the this device’s footprint " USB_MICRO-B_SMT"?

Thanks

MT1*4 just never was assigned a name, it’s the anchor pads that hold the connector too the board. You really don’t need to connect anything too it, but sometimes people will also connect that to ground.

We used to carry this part on the website, but sadly we don’t anymore. The link below will take you too the manufacturers website. It’s possible that other manufacturers have a compatible part.
