USBasp or usbtinyisp with atmega328

Can anyone confirm if either the USBasp or usbTinyIsp work with the atmega328? Both programmers seem to exclude the 328 in their compatibility listings.

If it works with a 168, it works with a 328 (with some slight modifications to the config file to allow for the increase in RAM, Flash and EEPROM space)
