Use Arduino Nano RX pin as digital input

Hi,

I am working on a project and I am using Arduino Nano board. I have interfaced multiple sensors & modules with it, so I am out of all pins, I have connected a sesnor at Pin # 1 too, which is the TX Pin. IT works fine.

But when I connect a sensor with RX pin, it gives error in uploading code, when I remove that sensor it works fine.Once code is uploaded then pin works fine everything works gud.

Thing is I am working on a robot so I can’t remove pin everytime I need to upload code, it involves lot of testing.

So, is there any way to solve this issue??

I am using this[ Arduino Nano, to remove the confusion as there are many such simialr boards are present.

Thanks.](Introduction to Arduino Nano - The Engineering Projects)

Thanks for reaching out to us on this.

The problem is because that TX pin is the one used to transmit from the Arduino during code upload…the only suggestion might be to install/wire in a physical switch, where you could change which wire is being used to/from pin#1

Otherwise, perhaps look into purchasing one of our boards that offers more IO pins

Hope this helps, and happy sparking!
