Using multiple RFID readers connected to a USB Hub

For a museum project, I am looking for a relatively hassle-free multiple RFID Reader solution. Visitors can hold different pieces of cloth, each tagged with a RFID button, to say six different areas, each area tagged with a ID12 Antenna and an RFID USB Reader. These 6 readers are all connected to a USB Hub connected to a Windows Media Server. Then I use TouchDesigner to read and process the serial signal.

Has anyone ever tried something like this successfully? Could there be trouble with Windows to identify all six Readers individually? Will they keep their USB ID even after a Windows restart? Power Supply problems?

I know this might seem excessive, but I want to avoid connecting multiple Antennaes to one Mega board or similar, as that seems to be a source for trouble it seems (especially when you have never worked with RFID before, like I have…)

Each should show up as a separate serial port and the port numbers shouldn’t change between windows reboots. (each reader should keep it’s assigned port number) You might need a powered hub just to ensure there’s enough current.
