Vehicle datalogger

Hi All,

I’m looking to build a simple vehicle datalogger; preferably with GPS (X.Y Co-ordinates), lateral/longitudinal accel, wheel speed, and possibly a linear potentiometer to be used for rack displacement.

From what I can see, the Logomatic v2 serial SD datalogger appears to be ideal for my application, but I am unsure of what is needed for GPS etc. Would anyone be able to guide me to the respestive product pages?

Any feedback or suggestions welcome!

Kind regards,

Julian

GPS module, 12 channel 48 bit DAC for LAT, LONG, ALT, TOD, DATE, HDOP, VEL, HDG, Q, NumSats, etc.

Or a GPS module with an NMEA port (eg. all of them)

Hi smashing666,

Just a suggestion…

I have one of these kits http://arduinodev.com/hardware/obd-kit-2/ hooked up to my Triumph Street Triple motorcycle and I find it invaluable.

I use it for logging track day data as well as logging day to day commuting or any trip for that matter.

Hope this is of some use.

Cheers,

blackfab

Thanks for that blackfab, unfortunately I’ve only read that post after purchasing the LOGOMATIC V2 logger. At the moment I’m experiencing difficulty in logging both serial and ADC at the same time. I’ve had a little root around as it’s been mentioned in the past, but haven’t really found any firmware solutions.
