WAV Trigger - stereo connector issue

WAV Trigger , this is a great product. Thanks

I was able to setup the WAV trigger , and it working quiet well. Still , I have issues with the Stereo Out connector. More than once it stop working. It output noise and stop completely. I notice that if I move the stereo cable I can restored the audio out. I have try more than one cable but the issue continues. I think it is the board stereo jack , which is faulty.

Since I want to have stereo out , can you identify which points I can solder to the stereo jack connections directly. I don’t want to de-solder the stereo jack , but to identify where in the board I can make the same stereo connections.

Thanks,

Hello PRPROG, and thanks for posting on the forums.

Have you tried using a pair of headphones or earbuds with the WAV Trigger? Give that a quick try and let us know if you have the same issues.

Thanks TS-Chris

I will give it a try and let you know , but…

Are 1/8 stereo male connectors different that headphones connector. ?

1/8" or 3.5mm connectors are what are commonly found on headphones and either will work with the socket on the WAV Trigger.

OK.

I try with headphones…same issue. The stereo connector is not working properly. It works for a while, but if I move the WAV trigger board just a little, it make noise (like when you have a bad audio connection). I need to move the connector (put pressure down and/or up) on the connector, then sound is restore. I have try several audio cables and it is the same behavior.

I need to have stereo out. Can you point me to which place on the board I can get the stereo out. I can solder directly to the board and bypass the audio connector all together.

Thanks,

PRPROG

OK, that definitely sounds like a bad jack.
