I followed the troubleshooting tips and did the following:
-
Brand new, SanDisk newly formatted SD card that I am positive works.
-
used wav file downloaded from vendor to make sure no headers
-
9 volt power supply
-
SD card has clean directory with nothing but the wav file and the init file to start the onboard amplifier
-
Headset hooked up to save trigger through cable port
-
Switch is set to run, not load
-
Brand new wave trigger card (the one that just went on sale)
When i plug it in, I get no sound or led indicating sound is being produced.
Instead of 3 red LED blinks, I get 6 or 7, and then it blink about every 5 seconds.
At a loss. is card defective? I did everything Robertson website said to do.
I believe I already responded to you on the robertsonics site, but again… 10 blinks on power up indicates a problem with the microSD card, either formatting or hardware related. You don’t say what size your SanDisk card is, but if it’s larger than 32GB it’s most likely XFAT which won’t work with the WAV Trigger. You need to make sure that the card is formatted FAT16 or FAT32 (max size 32GB.) The other possibility is a hardware problem with your WAV Trigger, specifically related to the microSD socket. Visually inspect the solder joints.
Much appreciated.
It would certainly help if you would go to your online manual and see that it says “any size” card will work–and change it. to 32. I was using a bigger card. Wasted 3 hours.
Would also help if you would publish something that shows us what the number of blinks means. You mentioned 10 blinks, but I get only 6 or 7 with this error. Does the count of 6 or 7 blinks mean that it is not the card?
Thanks,
