I recently purchased the analog soldering station on Sparkfun Electronics. I need to solder a 24 pin SSOP (LT3780) and an 8 pin MS8E( LT3010) part. I plan on using regular 60/40 solder. What temperature do you recommend that I set the soldering station?. I will be using the 0.2mm tip. Thanks.
As the soldering station probably isn’t calibrated, you’ll either have to use trial and error, or buy a device to measure the tip temperature.

Check the tutorial section on the Sparkfun homepage. There is a tutorial for SMD soldering using a skillet oven. If I recall well, you will find temperatures there.
