Hey guys,
This is my first post and I’m really excited to be a part of what appears to be a really great community from what ive seen so far 8)
I’ve recently taken up a real interest in electronics. I’ve always had a bit of a fascination with it, but never really took it upon myself to actually learn it.
I’m really interested in what you guys think would be the fastest and most practical way to get up to speed with things so that I can design and build my own electronic gadgets to create cool electronic solutions.
I’ve done some university before and have no interest in learning it through a formal education just to get bombarded with intense physics theory (although I understand that a good understanding of this would be beneficial over time).
Ive been doing some reading and watching some videos and what I’m trying to figure out is some sort of learning structure I can follow… something like this:
MODULE 1: Classic Electronics
Step #1: Understand voltage/current/resistance
Step #2: Learn how to use a multimeter
Step #3: Learn about the basic components
Step #4: What is a breadboard?
Step #5: What is a closed loop?
Step #6: Learn about a voltage divider
Step #7: Learn how to build a basic circuit with led

MODULE 2: Arduino
Step #1: Getting started with arduino
…
MODULE 3: PCB Design
Step #1: Learning how to solder

This is just an idea from what I’ve seen so far… if anyone knows of a great process that already exists I’d be really keen to know about it! Or even if anyone could help me fill in the blanks or rearrange some of this stuff to make more sense that would be awesome!

P.S. All i’ve watched/read so far is theory and watching others build stuff. I’ve ordered my first electronics starter kit and an arduino which have yet to arrive. Can’t wait to get started
