Where I can I get a PCB design board made WITH parts?

The topic pretty much says it all: where I can I get a PCB design board made WITH parts?

I don’t want to manually solder down SMD parts nor do I want to go through the process of finding and ordering the parts.

Is there a company I can just give the eagle schematic to and have them make the full board?

Certainly…almost any PCB manufacturer you find online can also do assembly.

But you’ll have to accept paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

Building in large quantities is a different story.

Well most hobbyists design their own boards, order the parts, solder the parts to the board, and try it out. This is usually fun for most people on this forum. If you only want one board made (NO parts), Batch PCB is the cheapest route, although they are SLOW! (3 to 4 weeks). For most other prototype board houses the min # of boards is 4 or 5. The price a a PCB is based on its size (area). Time from ordering to getting boards is 1-1/2 to 2 weeks. Don't know if you'd find a place that would solder parts on only 1 or 2 boards. However, now that I think of it there is a company that does solder SMD parts even for a few boards. Can't recall the name, though, but they show up in the SparkFun forums. And you still need to get your PCB designed. Have you thought about using perf board with copper pads, such as what Radio Shack sells, or strip board, or Vector board?

BTW, how much money are you willing to spend on this project?

It’s really cost you much money to order 1 or 2pcs PCBs for your projects. there are some companies which specialized in producing protypes and quick-turn PCBs. actually it’s not a good idea to wait for 3-4weeks to make prototype. I think 10days is accpetable. its’ the general lead time for a manufacture.

there are lots of places that will do assembly for you, pcbtrain (a service of newbury electronics) is one that immediately springs to mind.

Some of them would probablly get the parts for you as well if you asked but I suspect they would charge enough for doing so that it would not be worth it.

This all depends on what you are trying to do and for what reason.

If you are just developing limited hobby projects, I think you will find the costs are astronomical.

It is very expensive to have boards made “turn key”. But if you have the cash, and willing to pay the price, there are many places that will do just what you ask.

If you tell me what you want, and give me gerbers or eagle drawings (which Id send off to BatchPCB) I can populate, assemble, test, and ship them back to you (for a small fee of course - assuming its a very small quantity). I love doing this kind of thing! PM me if youre interested/want references.

Screaming Circuits will do this for you. They are partnered with a PCB manufacturer (Sunstone Circuits) who will make the PCBs then send them off to Screaming Circuits (they’re pretty much just down the road from each other) who can order the parts and assemble the boards.
