Why pullups on the interrupt pins on LIS2DH?

Why does sparkfun add (weak) pullup resistors on the interrupt pins on the LIS2DH? The datasheet doesn’t specify this AFAICT

Hello @prayfish,

On the LIS2DS12, the INT pins can be configured as “open drain”. The pull-ups will be needed in that mode. The resistors on the LIS2DH12 board were probably copied across from an earlier design?
