Why was the "SparkFun Max Power IR LED Kit" discontinued? (and when)

Hello!

I’m busily constructing something new and came across KIT#10732 as mentioned here:

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ir … okup-guide it was included in the coupon box describing how to enable driving an IR LED with more power for the purposes behind how to send and eventually recieve IR Remote modulated codes.

In my case I saw that the schematic for the thing had the Creative Commons license method. So does the company have a problem with my using that schematic as a basis for such a purpose? I figure I’d use one of these:

That’s fine; you only need to cite that you used SparkFun code on any product you eventually sell, no fees or royalties or anything…just that you sourced code from SparkFun :smiley:
