I am using the Wireless joystick kit in a project but I would like to be able to turn it on and off via a switch I can mount somewhere on the housing I have 3d Printed. Wondering if anyone has done this and if so what do I all need to connect to the new switch to make it work.
Are you wanting to toggle power or transmission? or both?
just power, I thought about switching the battery supply but then the lipo wont charge.
I’m not familiar with this product but, looking at [the schematic, it appears there is already a switch. It’s wired to the power supply regulator’s enable pin. Yeah I looked at that too but I need an external switch and this one has to be removed in order to switch the board on and off it appears. then you can just replace the switch once removed to an external switch. would be nice to be able to get this board with an option to just have a few solder points to add an external switch that is not mounted to the board.
If you don’t want to remove the existing switch, you could just leave it turned off and solder your external switch wires what appear to be exposed solder pads.
You will need to remove the existing switch since it either ties the enable pin on the regulator to Vin or GND.
