Wireless Motor Driver Shield

I am trying to use a Wireless Motor Driver Shield (DEV-14285) with a RedBoard Turbo. I removed the 5V pin and connected the boards 5V to the 3.3V line. I have not plugged it in yet as I don’t want to damage anything. Will this work and allow the serial line to work with the XBee socket?

If the voltage has been altered to be 3.3V then nothing should fry. I think you'll be ok with that.

Yes, the Xbee's are shifted for 3.3V logic anyway, they should still work.
